First thing this morning, our team received some shocking news this morning that the planned accommodation in Sancerre was no longer available! The heavy rain yesterday has flooded the lower part of the town.

Our team immediately called a crisis meeting to look for alternatives. After the arduous journey yesterday and the heavy rain last night this was the last the team never needed.

The team quickly found an alternative accomodation. But this was also immediately cancelled!

As I write a furious discussion is underway over a somewhat suggestion to stay in the next town, Cosne sur Loire, some 10 km further along. This would make the stage longer, but would also make Wednesday's stage shorter. And the place has a jacuzzi.
